With
a quick change of the floor, the Brown County Memorial Arena
transforms from a hockey haven to the home of some of the
best basketball action in the state. Whether driving the
lane for the slam-dunk, or shooting the long ball for three,
the UW-Green
Bay Fighting Phoenix men's basketball team heats up the
winter with exciting NCAA Division I action. Six post-season
appearances in the 90s, including four trips to the "Big
Dance," lend a spark to the excitement as the Fighting
Phoenix make their bid for that next journey to college
basketball's promised land.
The men aren't the only ones showing off
their skills on the hardcourt though. The UW-Green Bay women's
basketball team takes on some of the top national contenders
including Kansas State, Michigan State and Xavier in the
friendly confines of the Phoenix Sports Center on the Campus
of UW-Green Bay.
