Packer Country's Indoor Sports Heat Up the Winter Cheers fill the air around Packer Country as droves of fans take to the stands for some of the best sports action found anywhere. And we're not talking about the Packers, or even football.

From the hardcourt action of University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Fighting Phoenix basketball to the hard-hitting action of Green Bay Gamblers hockey, Packer Country's spectacular lineup of indoor sports are guaranteed to have you jumping out of your seat and cheering for the home team.

Playing in the United States Hockey League, the Green Bay Gamblers take to the ice of the Brown County Memorial Arena against top division rivals including the Chicago Steel, Des Moines Buccaneers and the Cedar Rapids Roughriders. Combining the best in finesse and power, the Gamblers battle their way towards the Clark Cup. Tickets start at just $6 and prime seats are available for only $11. (1-800-895-0071)

UWGB Fighting PhoenixWith a quick change of the floor, the Brown County Memorial Arena transforms from a hockey haven to the home of some of the best basketball action in the state. Whether driving the lane for the slam-dunk, or shooting the long ball for three, the UW-Green Bay Fighting Phoenix men's basketball team heats up the winter with exciting NCAA Division I action. Six post-season appearances in the 90s, including four trips to the "Big Dance," lend a spark to the excitement as the Fighting Phoenix make their bid for that next journey to college basketball's promised land.

The men aren't the only ones showing off their skills on the hardcourt though. The UW-Green Bay women's basketball team takes on some of the top national contenders including Kansas State, Michigan State and Xavier in the friendly confines of the Phoenix Sports Center on the Campus of UW-Green Bay.
