Summer, Water, Festivals – A Great Combination
Green Bay , Wis.
July 24, 2006
Green Bay, WI –Wisconsin is known for its summer festivals that bring family, friends, neighbors and communities together. The state’s abundant waterways create great gathering places for such events, and the weeks to come are full of opportunities.
In addition to the Baylake Bank Tall Ship Festival taking place in downtown Green Bay next weekend, the Packer Country lakeshore communities of Mishicot, Algoma and Two Rivers are putting the final touches on preparations for July and August waterfront festivals of their own. In Mishicot, RiverFest will take place July 28-30. Algoma is the place to be for Shanty Days August 11-13.
Two Rivers is the location for Rogers Street Days on August 11-12.
“Community festivals like the Baylake Bank Tall Ship Festival, RiverFest, Shanty Days and Rogers Street Days bring communities together and bring visitors to the area,” said Katie Green, Director of Marketing for Packer Country Visitor & Convention Bureau. “The festivals blend together a great combination of friendly people, great food, a variety of entertainment and an experience to remember.”
