Dog Jumping, Music, Fireworks, LeRoy Butler
and More at Mishicot Fest 2006

MISHICOT, Wis.

Mishicot, WI – Residents and visitors in Packer Country can kick off the long holiday weekend with three days of family fun at Mishicot Fest 2006. The fifth annual festival runs Friday through Sunday at Fox Hills Resort, featuring music, food, games, fireworks, Football Talk with LeRoy Butler and much, much more.

"Mishicot has put together a fantastic family event that everyone can enjoy," said Kari Sliva, President & CEO of Packer Country Visitor & Convention Bureau. "It's a little slice of Americana, and it's these kinds of festivals that bring visitors to the area from all over the state."

A special feature of this year’s Mishicot Fest will be the DockDogs – dog jumping competition. The national qualifying event includes preliminary rounds on Friday and Saturday, with the finals at
6 p.m. on Sunday.

Football legend LeRoy Butler will also be a part of the festivities. Butler will be Talking Football at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

The Mishicot Fest music line-up includes a number of local and regional favorites, such as Brit Beat, The Love Monkeys, Think Floyd USA, Christopher’s Jazz Project, Hard Copy, Blue Hand, Barbara Stephan & Peppermink, The Bystanders and Pink Houses.

Other features of Mishicot Fest include:

  • Helicopter rides
  • Family Fun Zone, with clowns, magicians, games and the Klement’s Racing Sausages
  • Red, White & Blue Skydivers
  • Camel and pony rides
  • Inflatables for children
  • Golf contests
  • Petting zoo
  • Oneida Charity Fun Casino (raising money to fight
    breast cancer)
  • Art & Craft Expo
