Harleys will Rumble Down the Streets of Green Bay
State H.O.G. Rally expected to draw thousands of bikers
GREEN BAY , Wis.
June 6, 2006
Green Bay, WI – Imagine thousands of Harley-Davidson motorcycles roaring down the road near you. If you live on Green Bay’s Westside you won’t have to dream about such an event.
The 2006 Wisconsin State Harley Owners Group (HOG) Rally will attract thousands of Harley owners during the weekend of
June 23-25, 2006. Rally events are scheduled at Oneida Casino and the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center.
While the HOG Rally events are private, a public parade will take place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, giving area residents a chance to see the Wisconsin-made motorcycles roll by on their way from Lambeau Field to Oneida Casino’s main location next to the Radisson Hotel.
The parade will begin in the parking lot on the west side of Lambeau Field and travel on the following local roads:
- North on Ridge Road to Ninth Street
- West (left) on Ninth Street, which becomes West Point Road
- Continue on West Point Road to Packerland Drive
- South (left) on Packerland Drive to Cormier Road
- West (right) on Cormier Road to South Point Road
- South (left) on South Point Road to North Road
- West (right) on North Road to Oneida Casino
For residents who live along or near the route, as well as motorists driving in the area, the parade will have an impact on traffic flow for about 30 minutes.
“It should be quite a spectacle; a steady stream of thousands of motorcycles thundering down the road,” said Joel Everts, Sports Sales Manager for Packer Country Visitor & Convention Bureau. “Area residents are encouraged to come out and take in the sights and sounds.”
