Waterfront Association Organized to Promote Tourism
Fox River businesses and PCVCB team up to promote waterfront tourism

GREEN BAY , Wis.

Green Bay, WI – With the continuing developments along the Fox River in downtown Green Bay alone, it’s no surprise that the Packer Country Visitor and Convention Bureau and area businesses are teaming up to promote the great waterfront facilities and activities – existing and planned – the greater Green Bay area has to offer.

Currently a small group consisting of area business owners and the Packer Country Visitor & Convention Bureau, the waterfront association is looking for additional partners in its venture to create and promote a “Fox River Entertainment District.”

Present group members include business owners and representatives from the James Street Inn, Andrew’s, Jimmy Seas, Marco’s Seafood Club, Riverplace Yacht Club, Green Bay Yacht Club, and the Packer Country Visitor and Convention Bureau.

Packer Country Visitor and Convention Bureau Director of Marketing, Katie Green, said, “Each boating season we see visitors pass through the Green Bay area in search of water recreation further north. This association is about showcasing the many great, affordable recreation and entertainment opportunities we have right here.”

If interested in attending a future meeting, the association meets at 10:00 AM each Wednesday morning at the Riverplace Yacht Club in Ashwaubenon.
