Packer Country Offers the TEAM Advantage
Preferred Partner Program gets new look in 2006
GREEN BAY, Wis.
February 2, 2006
Green Bay, WI – The Packer Country Visitor & Convention Bureau’s partners program has a new look for 2006 as the program continues to experience tremendous growth.
The new moniker for the program is TEAM Advantage. “TEAM stands for Tourism Exposure And Marketing, which is what the program is all about,” said Jason Ring, Partnerships Manager for Packer Country Visitor & Convention Bureau. “The TEAM Advantage program is set up as a tool for tourism-related businesses to effectively promote their operations to the more than 10 million annual visitors to Packer Country.”
Ring says a strong tourism promotion partnership is a key factor in attracting visitors to the area and in keeping them coming back. “We work very closely with our partners and are very pleased with the growth of the program,” Ring said. “In fact, the program now has more than 180 partners after growing by nearly 40% in 2005.”
New to the partners program in 2006 is the TEAM Advantage events calendar and, in an effort to involve as many TEAM partners as possible, Packer Country will host a variety of TEAM meetings at different times and locations. There will also be TEAM orientation meetings so all partners can learn about Packer Country and how they can get more out of the partnership.
Other program benefits include: listings in the Official Packer Country Visitors Guide; information and links on www.packercountry.com; visitor information referrals; brochure distribution; leads for conventions; sports tournaments and other events; access to economic studies on area tourism; FAM (familiarization) tours; and travel writer visits.
Ring says the TEAM Advantage members cover a wide range of businesses that are directly involved in tourism, including attractions, hotels, restaurants, events and festivals as well as other businesses that may be indirectly related to the hospitality industry, such as retailers, banks and service providers.
“There’s no doubt that part of the attraction of Packer Country is its variety of attractions, so our partnerships are important in attracting more visitors to the area,” Ring said. “By working together through TEAM Advantage we can reach more potential visitors throughout the Midwest.” Ring notes that spending in Packer Country totaled more than $645 million dollars in 2004, as tourism continues to be among the top industries in the region.
