Legends of Lombardi Avenue™ Tours Begin
Packer Country and Regency Redline Team Up
GREEN BAY, Wis.
July 25, 2005

GREEN BAY, Wis. (July 25, 2005) – Beginning this weekend, Green Bay Packers fans of all ages can take part in the Legends of Lombardi Avenue™ tour, highlighting the history of one of America’s most revered NFL teams while aboard an authentic London double-decker bus.

The 75-minute guided tour, offered by the Packer Country Visitor and Convention Bureau, takes fans down memory lane – past famous sights of yesteryear as well as Packers hotspots of today. In addition to charming childhood stories, anecdotes and practical jokes of early Green Bay legends and modern day superstars, the tour includes historical sites such as Old City Stadium, Hagemeister Park, Curly Lambeau’s childhood home, and much more.

On top of the rich football history of the tour, participants also enjoy the unique experience of riding aboard the Regency Redline – a bright red, 1967 London double-decker bus – as they travel through the Green Bay area. Prior to its arrival in Green Bay last fall, the Regency Redline ran routes to noted places such as Picadilly Circus, Oxford Circus, Trafalgar Square, and the Marble Arch.

“Not only is the Legends of Lombardi Avenue tour unique in itself, but the added element of the Regency Redline truly makes the experience one-of-a-kind”, said Katie Green, Packer Country Visitor & Convention Bureau Director of Marketing. Fans, young and old, will enjoy their travels around Green Bay aboard the double-decker bus while learning history and hearing little-known stories about the home team and its legendary players.

The Legends of Lombardi Avenue tours begin this Friday, July 29th. Tour dates and times are as follows:

Friday, July 29: 10:30 am & 1:00 pm
Saturday, July 30: 10:30 am & 1:00 pm
Sunday, July 31: 10:30 am & 1:00 pm
Friday, August 5: 10:30 am
Saturday, August 6: 10:30 am
