GREEN BAY, Wis. (May 3, 2005) – The Packer Country Visitor and Convention Bureau is sponsoring a Passport booklet encouraging local citizens to "Be A Tourist In Your Hometown."

The Passport costs $10 and gains the entire family free admission to 14 exciting tourism attractions in the region May 14-15, 2005. The Passport also contains valuable coupons worth more than $600, which are valid through Dec. 2005.

Additional prize drawings will be held for Green Bay Packers tickets, overnight accommodations and golf at Fox Hills Resort, a suite for Disney on Ice at the Resch Center courtesy of PMI, and a two night's stay and waterpark passes to the Tundra Lodge Resort and Waterpark.

How many times have you said to your family, "we have to visit that place someday?" Here's your chance to take advantage of the free hospitality, history, entertainment and just plain fun tourists enjoy when in Green Bay," said Peter Chapman, Executive Director of the National Railroad Museum in Green Bay and Chairman of the "Be A Tourist In Your Hometown" Steering Committee.

"What better way to discover the Green Bay area than to visit without charge? It's an 'open house' to our neighbors that we hope they'll take advantage of," said Chapman, who also serves on the Governor's Council on Tourism.

The Packer Country Visitor and Convention Bureau received a $1,000 grant from the Wis. Department of Tourism to assist with the campaign and also promote the "Wisconsin--Life's So Good" campaign.
