Be A Tourist In Your Hometown Passports
Available For Free Admission to Attractions
GREEN BAY, Wis.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (May 3, 2005) –
The Packer Country Visitor and Convention
Bureau is sponsoring a Passport booklet
encouraging local citizens to "Be A Tourist
In Your Hometown."
The Passport costs $10 and gains the entire
family free admission to 14 exciting tourism
attractions in the region May 14-15, 2005.
The Passport also contains valuable coupons
worth more than $600, which are valid through
Dec. 2005.
Additional prize drawings will be held
for Green Bay Packers tickets, overnight
accommodations and golf at Fox Hills Resort,
a suite for Disney on Ice at the Resch Center
courtesy of PMI, and a two night's stay
and waterpark passes to the Tundra Lodge
Resort and Waterpark.
How many times have you said to your family,
"we have to visit that place someday?" Here's
your chance to take advantage of the free
hospitality, history, entertainment and
just plain fun tourists enjoy when in Green
Bay," said Peter Chapman, Executive Director
of the National Railroad Museum in Green
Bay and Chairman of the "Be A Tourist In
Your Hometown" Steering Committee.
"What better way to discover the Green
Bay area than to visit without charge? It's
an 'open house' to our neighbors that we
hope they'll take advantage of," said Chapman,
who also serves on the Governor's Council
on Tourism.
The Packer Country Visitor and Convention
Bureau received a $1,000 grant from the
Wis. Department of Tourism to assist with
the campaign and also promote the "Wisconsin--Life's
So Good" campaign.
