"Be A Tourist In Your Hometown" Passports Available

GREEN BAY, Wis. (Apr 12, 2004) – As an extension of
Mayor Schmitt’s line-up of events to celebrate Green
Bay’s Sesquicentennial, the Packer Country Regional
Tourism Organization invites area residents to "Be A
Tourist In Your Hometown" the weekend of May 15th and
16th, 2004.
Be A Tourist Passport holders will gain free admission for
their entire families to fourteen (14) attractions throughout
Packer Country May 15-16, 2004. The ”Be A Tourist”
Passport also contains valuable coupons available for use
throughout the year. At a cost of $10 each, the Passport represents
an over $400 value.
Be A Tourist Passports go on sale today, April 12, for $10
each at area distribution outlets. Distribution outlets include
Green Bay Area Festival Foods, Osco Drug, Ticket Star, The
Children's Museum of Green Bay, Hazelwood Historic House Museum,
Historic Washington House, Lighthouse Inn, National Railroad
Museum, Neville Public Museum, and the Packer Country Regional
Tourism Office at the Brown County Veterans Memorial Arena.
The event coincides with National Tourism Week May 8-16,
and celebrates the economic impact of travel on our local
economy, which totals more than $613 million annually.
The Passport features a drawing for exciting prizes, including
two club seats to a Green Bay Packers Game and dinner at Curly’s
Pub in the Lambeau Field Atrium; Overnight accommodations
and unlimited golf at Fox Hills Resort; Two tickets to Riverdance
at the Weidner Center/Deluxe Limousine Service by Lamers and
dinner for two at Patrick’s on the Bay; and suite seating
for Disney on Ice at the Resch Center provided by PMI.
