The Regional Tourism Office (RTO) has moved its offices and
Visitor Information Center to the Brown County Arena. The
Packer Country tourism industry is invited to join us for
an Open House, Thurs. Nov. 20 from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. to see
our new digs! Enter the RTO offices through the lobby of
the BCA.

The RTO welcomes Kathryn Delie as our new Marketing Director!
Katie joined the team Oct. 1 and is anxious to meet our tourism
partners. Katie comes to us from the Weidner Center's marketing
department, where she managed group sales.

A Preferred Partners Advisory Council Luncheon will be held
Thurs. Nov. 6, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Lambeau Field
Atrium. Learn more about Packer Country RTO marketing, sales

Cheers to Von Stiehl Winery of Algoma, winning two highly
honored gold medals in one of the world's most prestigious
contests, Testers Guild International Wine Judging, for their
Oktoberfest and Syrah wines. They also snagged eight silver
medals and two bronzes for other locally produced wines.

Speaking of awards, the RTO's webmaster, Ascedia, was recently
honored as one of Milwaukee's 50 fastest growing companies
by the Metropolitan Milwaukee Assn. of Commerce.

Thumbs up for the Pink Ladies! The Packer Country RTO Sales
Department promoted the region in the 2nd Annual "Meet
Wisconsin Marketplace" at Monona Terrace in Madison
Oct. 8th. Grease was the word in the RTO booth, keeping with
the Show Tunes & Musicals theme. More than 200 meeting
planners attended the show. Hopefully they'll book their
next meeting in Green Bay faster than you can say Grease
Lightning!

The Wisconsin Association for Health, Physical Education,
Recreation and Dance (WAHPERD) will convene at the Radisson
Hotel & Conference Center on October 29-31, 2003. Approximately
800 delegates are expected for WAHPERD's annual convention
and tradeshow.

Join Wis. Lt. Governor Barbara Lawton and Tourism Secretary
Jim Holperin at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts,
Tues. Oct. 14 at 8:30 a.m., where they'll tout cultural tourism
in honor of National Arts and Humanities Month.
