Tough economic times. Despite our e-mails, letters, and calls,
Governor Doyle vetoed the proposed additional $500,000 in
each biennium for the Dept. of Tourism. He also vetoed the
$3.95 million earmarked for out-of-state-marketing.

A big thank you to all who helped with the Nat. Assoc. of
County Ag Agents convention in July! Packer Country hospitality
really shined as we rolled out the red carpet (and the complete
Packers Experience!) for this group of 2.500 delegates. And,
they started a new fashion trend---black and white cow vests.
We want mooore groups like this one!

We welcome another city-wide group, Kenneth Copeland Ministries,
which will be at the Brown County Veterans Memorial Complex
Aug. 18-23. This will be the largest event hosted to-date
at the Resch Center.

The fur will be flying as the International Cat Assoc. holds
its 2003 Annual Awards Show and Banquet at the KI Convention
Center Aug. 30-31. This show is expecting approximately 300
cats from all over the world, competing for titles and international
placements. Prrrretty fun!

Packer Country Sales team will be participating in a statewide
sports marketing co-op, which includes attending the TEAMS
trade show in Nov. with sport tournament buyers.
